Trip Details: (Include as much information as you think is relevant and helpful. Why is this a good place to run a program, etc?)
Situated one mile above the valley floor below in the San Jacinto Mountains, Idyllwild is set among alpine forest, and legendary rocks. It is the ideal location for beginners and experts alike with classic routes such as the Spring Cleaning, Knocking on Heaven's Door, Blanketty Blank, Godzilla's Return, Bathroom Boulder and Mushroom Boulder. We meet early Saturday at the SRFC to issue camping and climbing gear. We will also practice some climbing and belaying skills on the Climbing Wall before departing for Idyllwild. We climb all day Saturday afternoon and Sunday, dividing our time between bouldering and climbing with a variety of simple to more challenging routes. We spend the night at a local campground close to multiple climbing areas. Saturday night we have time to explore the mountain town of Idyllwild. No experience is required as instruction will be provided. $50 Students and SRFC Members, $60 Faculty and Staff, $70 Alumni, $80 Community Members Participants are responsible for dinner on Saturday night in Idyllwild.
