Silverwood Lake is one of the hidden jewels of the San Bernardino Mountains. Nestled in the San Bernardino National Forest and bordered by the Pacific Crest Trail and the High Desert, the lake provides thirteen miles of shoreline, coves and beaches for us to discover. We meet at the SRFC at noon to load up the kayaks and head up the Cajon Pass to Highway 138 and the recreation area. We spend the afternoon with paddle in exploring the lake under the autumn colored ridgelines. After watching the sunset from our kayaks, we’ll head back to campus, stopping along the way for dinner. No experience is required as instruction will be provided. Check out the Silverwood Lake Kayaking Trip Information Sheet for more information and details. Prices: $25 Students and SRFC Members, $30 Faculty and Staff, $35 Alumni, $40 Community Members. Participants are responsible for dinner Friday night Price includes transportation, snacks, kayaking gear, instruction, and enthusiastic leaders.
