Snorkeling Trip to La Jolla Cove Cool down and head to the beach with Outdoor Excursions. The beaches of La Jolla will be our destination where you can swim, snorkel, or just walk on the beach. After relaxing and playing, we can explore the nearby shops or grab a snack before heading back to Riverside. We supply the snorkel gear, wetsuits, transportation and leaders. La Jolla cove is with in the, San Diego La Jolla Underwater Park Ecological Reserve, were you can see tons of underwater wild life and kelp forests. The cove is a great place to go swimming, snorkeling, or even scuba diving. The visibility in the water can sometimes exceed 30feet on good days. Snorkeling in La Jolla Cove you are liable to see a great wealth of underwater wildlife. Times: 8:30am Group leaders arrive, gathers gear 9:00am Group leaves UCR 11:00am Group arrive at La Jolla 11:45am Begin Snorkel of La Jolla cove, snorkel, eat lunch have fun 3:00pm Rap up, load up van, Leave back to UCR 5:00pm Arrive at UCR, Group breaks up Alternative: Marine Room The Marine Room (named after the waterfront restraunt bordering the sand of the same name). Get to it off of TORRY PINES Rd. Take a RIGHT onto PRINCESS St. Take another RIGHT onto SPINDRIFT Dr. It should be on the LEFT. Great place to see Leopard sharks, depending on the time of year.

Driving Directions from Nearest Interstate, Exit, Etc:
From the north, take Interstate 5 to La Jolla Village Drive, westbound. Turn left on Torrey Pines Road at the signalized intersection. Follow Torrey Pines Road to the signalized intersection at Prospect Street and turn right. Watch for the signs and bear right on Coast Boulevard. From the south, take Interstate 5 north to La Jolla Parkway. Continue on as it becomes Torrey Pines Road. Follow Torrey Pines Road to the signalized intersection at Prospect Street and turn right. Watch for the signs and stay right on Coast Boulevard.
